Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

The EU–Philippines Tech Forum 2026, to be held on 14th October 2026, will provide a high-level platform to scale up digital investments and strengthen links between the European Tech Business Offer and the Philippines’ digital future. The Forum will bring together representatives of government, industry, business associations, and other stakeholders from the Philippines and Europe and will focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Connectivity (5G/6G), and Earth Observation and Space.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the EU Delegation’s principal technical focal point for the activity.
  • Support the EU Delegation in refining the Forum concept, objectives, and programme.
  • Support the preparation and refinement of the Forum agenda.
  • Advise on the structure and sequencing of the opening plenary, thematic panels, and business matchmaking activities.
  • Identify and recommend suitable moderators, speakers, and stakeholders for consideration by the EU Delegation.
  • Support engagement with relevant Philippine, European, and international stakeholders in government and the private sector.
  • Coordinate closely with the Communications and Visibility Expert and the Registration and Matchmaking Expert.
  • Support the preparation of briefing materials, background notes, and speaker guidance.
  • Support preparations for moderators and speakers.
  • Oversight of the script for the master of ceremonies and other event communication materials taken forward by the Communications expert.
  • Provide advice during implementation of the Forum.
  • Prepare and submit the Final Report.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated recent experience in leading and organizing large, high-level conferences or business fora.
  • 10 years of professional experience in technology sectors relevant to the forum, technology policy, digital transformation, business engagement, investment promotion, or related fields.
  • Excellent drafting, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • University degree in business administration, political science, technology and engineering, or a discipline relevant to the forum.
  • Excellent command of English.
