About the Position
We are seeking a Lead Data Software Engineer to drive the design and development of scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform. In this role, you will lead technical initiatives, mentor team members, and deliver high-quality data engineering products leveraging Python and modern cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of data engineering solutions on Google Cloud Platform
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL
- Architect data workflows and processing frameworks within Databricks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering team members
- Ensure code quality through reviews, best practices, and engineering standards
- Optimize performance and reliability of data platforms and pipelines
- Drive technical decision-making and contribute to architectural discussions
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders in English at a professional level
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data software engineering
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Expertise in Google Cloud Platform and Databricks
- Background in designing and building large-scale data pipelines
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
