About the Position
We are looking for an innovative Lead DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in cloud computing and scripting and a thorough understanding of CI/CD principles.
As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will drive the team in improving our operations environment and performance, including CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and cloud computing. In addition, you would apply innovative problem-solving to automate workflows and maximize the operational efficiency of our software engineering team.
In this role, you will shape the future of our DevOps practice, promote a culture of collaboration, and implement innovative solutions to optimize our software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Set up collaborations with the software development team to ensure software and systems interoperability
- Develop a team of talented DevOps engineers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring they have the resources to excel
- Design and implement reliable cloud solutions along with service-oriented architectures
- Enhance CI/CD processes for applications and infrastructure with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or an equivalent
- Maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to track system health and security
- Ensure systems' availability, performance, scalability, and security are up to standard
- Implement industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management
Requirements
- Understanding of networking and security architectures
- 5+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet), containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with logging and monitoring tools (any of Prometheus / Grafana / Splunk / ELK / Graylog / New Relic / AppDynamics / Dynatrace / Datadog / Zabbix or similar)
- Proven experience leading and motivating a DevOps team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
- Passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying bottlenecks and developing creative solutions to automate workflows and optimize efficiency
- Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- English level of B2 and higher
