About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead GCP DevOps Engineer to join our team in Ukraine. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who can drive best practices, optimize cloud-based environments, and provide leadership in DevOps processes, primarily focusing on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement best practices for hybrid cloud and on-premises environments, with a strong emphasis on cloud
- Define and enforce organizational policies to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Leverage modern technologies and methodologies such as GitOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
- Deploy and manage resources like VPC, IAM policies, GKE, KMS, VM, and DNS on GCP
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and implement FinOps strategies
- Lead VM-to-container migration initiatives to modernize the infrastructure
- Provide high-quality documentation and ensure effective knowledge sharing with the team
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in DevOps engineering roles, with a focus on cloud-based environments
- Expertise in GCP services like VPC, IAM, GKE, and associated components
- Proficiency in using GitOps and Infrastructure-as-Code tools to automate processes
- Knowledge of cost management practices such as FinOps
- Skills in designing and scaling cloud and hybrid environments effectively
- Experience in transitioning workloads from VMs to containers
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
