Lead Python Engineer

About the Position

Intelvision is looking for a skilled Lead Python Engineer to join our team. This role is remote and based in Europe/Ukraine. As a Lead Python Engineer, you’ll have a direct impact on the technical direction and architecture of our multi-tenant SaaS product that integrates with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams), Jira, and uses AI for standup automation.

• Problem solving – resolving complex issues and removing blockers

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Python in backend development
• Previous experience in a Tech Lead or Team Lead role
• Strong hands-on experience with Django and Django REST Framework, including designing and building scalable, high-load APIs
• Solid experience with asynchronous processing using Celery and Redis, including queues, retries, and error handling
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, including query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning
• Experience with FastAPI and real-time communication using WebSockets
• Experience integrating authentication and authorization systems (OIDC / OAuth2 / SSO)
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environments, as well as cloud platforms (Azure preferred or similar)
• Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar) and working with container registries
• Understanding of microservices or modular architecture principles, with experience working in monorepo environments being a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and ability to make independent technical decisions
• Experience improving fast-growing codebases and driving technical initiatives
• Experience with code reviews, mentoring, and collaboration in cross-functional teams
• Strong architectural thinking and ability to balance business and technical priorities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• English – B2+ or higher

Nice to Have

• Experience with React
• Experience working on SaaS products
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/LLM-based features into applications is a strong plus
