As a Lead Software Developer – Architektur, Integration & Produktentwicklung (w/m/d), you will shape the technical future of a central product for the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. You will be responsible for architecture decisions, system integrations, and technical standards for a platform that processes leads from various sources and supports Sparkassen in accompanying their customers throughout the entire real estate and financing journey.

You will work at the intersection of software architecture, API management, platform integration, banking systems, and product development. Together with product owners, external development partners, and internal stakeholders, you will develop scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions for digital lead management processes.

The position is based in Berlin (with 2 days in the office per week) and is suitable for experienced software developers, software architects, technical leads, or engineering leads who want to take on technical responsibility while working closely with the product and business.

What to Expect in the Role?

You will shape the technical development of our lead management product and develop a sustainable technical direction together with the product owner, product management, and stakeholders.
You will evaluate technical and architectural options, make informed decisions, and ensure practical, future-proof, and well-maintainable solutions.
You will design interfaces and integrations through which leads from different systems and external partners enter our lead management – including connection to Sparkassen core banking systems.
You will manage our external development partner from a technical perspective, concretize expectations, and verify that the implemented solutions meet our quality and architectural standards.
You will analyze technical error patterns and complex queries around APIs, integrations, or system access and coordinate appropriate solutions with the involved partners.
You will make technical relationships understandable for non-technical colleagues, actively share your knowledge, and thus strengthen teamwork.
You will stay close to the development, validate technical approaches, check implementations, and implement smaller solutions as needed.

What Experience and Skills Should You Bring?

You have several years of practical experience in software development and can evaluate technical solutions based on your own development experience.
You have a good understanding of software architecture, APIs, system integrations, secure communication between services, and the protection of technical interfaces.
Ideally, you have already worked with Java in the backend and React and TypeScript in the frontend, or you can quickly get up to speed with comparable technologies.
You have experience in technical design, architectural decisions, and working with external development partners or technically demanding stakeholders.
You communicate complex technical relationships understandably and convincingly represent your position to developers as well as technical and strategic stakeholders.
You work independently, take on responsibility, and find clear, practical solutions even in a start-up phase in the interest of the product.
You actively share your knowledge, enjoy working in a team, and support colleagues in understanding technical relationships better.
You are fluent in German at least at C1 level.
