Role mission: to lead the development and improvement of high-tech UAVs of various types, ensuring the full product creation cycle - from R&D and prototyping to field testing and integration of complex autonomy systems.

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership: Lead the development of UAVs of various types (multirotors, fixed-wing). Manage the hardware team, distribute tasks and implement quality standards.
• R&D and prototyping: Lead the development process from the idea and energy efficiency calculations to building and testing finished prototypes.
• Software expertise: Configuring and fine-tuning flight controllers on the following stacks: *ArduPilot * Betaflight
• Systems integration: Ensuring the operation of communication systems (ELRS, Crossfire), video (digital/analog), power and onboard computers for visual navigation.
• Hands-on engineering: Hands-on work: soldering, assembly, diagnostics, working with composite materials and refining designs.
• Field testing: Organizing and conducting tests, and analyzing flight logs to optimize the aircraft’s performance.
• Documentation: Creating technical data sheets, wiring diagrams and operating instructions.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years in hardware engineering (electronics, mechatronics, aircraft modeling).
• Versatility: Proven experience building both multirotor and fixed-wing platforms.
• Technology stack: In-depth knowledge of ArduPilot and Betaflight (configuring PID, filters, missions, command protocols).
• Avionics knowledge: Understanding of aircraft aerodynamics, calculation of the propulsion group (propeller-motor group) and the specifics of power distribution in complex systems.
• Engineering background: Soldering skills, understanding of circuit design and working with measuring instruments (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer).
• Systems thinking: Ability to see the product as a whole (airframe + electronics + software).

Nice to Have

• Integration skills Companion Computers (Raspberry Pi / Nvidia Jetson / CM5) and understanding of how Computer Vision works.
• Experience designing parts in CAD (SolidWorks/Fusion 360) and knowledge of manufacturing methods (3D printing, milling).
• Piloting experience (FPV or LOS) for a better understanding of how the aircraft behaves in the air.
• Experience with PX4 or iNav.
