We are seeking a highly motivated Lecturer in Biological Disciplines to contribute to the development and delivery of foundational courses in our MSc in Bioinformatics and Biomedical Data Science. The successful candidate will play a key role in integrating biological expertise into a data-driven curriculum and mentoring students who work at the intersection of biology and computation.

The position may be full-time or part-time with flexible start dates. A minimum of one term per academic year of in-person presence in Kyiv is preferred to ensure effective teaching and student engagement. We will assist with accommodation search and local logistics during this period.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures and/or laboratory instruction in core biological science courses.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across biology, computer science, and statistics to ensure curricular coherence.
  • Mentor MSc students in biological interpretation of data and experimental design.
  • Participate in curriculum development and academic quality assurance.
  • Engage in KSE's interdisciplinary teaching community.

Requirements

  • MSc or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Physiology, or a related field. Exceptional BSc graduates are also invited, as they may be considered for Teaching Assistant roles.
  • Demonstrated teaching or research experience in university-level biological science courses.
  • Ability to explain biological processes in a way accessible to computational and quantitative students.
  • Familiarity with bioinformatics or interdisciplinary work is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in English (courses would be led in English)
