About the Position

Legal Counsel (all genders) in Köln

As a Legal Counsel (all genders), you will support our existing legal department with your legal expertise and serve as a cross-site contact for our internal business units and subsidiaries. Your advisory skills range from all questions related to (IT) contract law to accompanying tendering procedures within the IT industry.

This job is also available in a location-independent role, as well as in Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, and Mainz.

Responsibilities

• You will be part of the legal team and a cross-site contact for advising on all legal issues with a focus on (IT) contract law, corporate law, data protection, and procurement law in the IT sector.
• Your advisory skills are reflected both in our internal business units and externally.
• You will accompany tendering procedures and ongoing customer projects.
• You will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts in both German and English.
• You will promote internal knowledge transfer on legal topics and bring the team to the next level.

Requirements

• You have a strong interest in IT and are curious about a varied role with new technical and legal challenges.
• You bring several years of relevant professional experience from a law firm or a commercial enterprise, preferably from the IT industry.
• You can show good grades in the first and second state exams (Germany).
• You have an independent and pragmatic working style and know how to prioritize and quickly familiarize yourself with new topics.
• You are strong in communication and can demonstrate very good German and good English skills in speech and writing.
