We are seeking a highly motivated Legal Counsel - Commercial to join our dynamic Legal Commercial team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of post-qualification experience as a lawyer, with a proven track record in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various types of commercial agreements. This role is ideal for someone looking to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the growth and success of our organisation.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including Software as a Service (SaaS) contracts, service agreements, lease agreements, and related addenda, ensuring compliance with diverse legal systems and mitigating associated risks.
- Provide clear, actionable legal advice to internal stakeholders, such as sales teams on client-facing contracts and procurement teams on vendor agreements, ensuring alignment with legal and corporate policies.
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor, simplifying complex legal and contractual obligations to support informed decision-making across the business.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and finance, to ensure all contracts support broader business objectives and mitigate potential risks.
- Conduct in-depth legal research to ensure contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations across relevant jurisdictions.
- Stay informed about evolving legal and regulatory frameworks that impact commercial contracts, proactively advising the business on necessary adjustments.
- Design and maintain user-friendly contract templates to optimize efficiency in drafting and approval processes.
- Establish and regularly update internal policies governing contract creation, approval, and storage to ensure consistency, enforceability, and operational efficiency.
- Lead initiatives to enhance contract lifecycle management systems, enabling seamless tracking of key milestones such as renewals, expirations, and obligations.
- Manage and oversee compliance with contractual obligations, maintaining robust and legally sound relationships with all parties.
- Liaise with external advisors to address complex legal issues requiring specialized expertise or jurisdiction-specific knowledge.
- Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the VP of Legal or the Head of Legal - Commercial.
Requirements
- A law degree from an accredited university in any EU or UK jurisdiction, providing a strong foundation in European legal systems.
- A minimum of three years of post-qualification experience as a practicing lawyer, with a focus on commercial or corporate law.
- Proven expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial agreements, including those with cross-jurisdictional elements.
- Exceptional ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, accessible language for non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation skills, balancing the pursuit of favourable terms with the cultivation of positive business relationships.
- Outstanding analytical capabilities to ensure contracts are precise, enforceable, and aligned with the organization’s objectives.
- Committed to delivering high-quality work, even under tight deadlines or competing priorities.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently, demonstrating consistent productivity and accountability with minimal supervision.
- Positive and adaptable attitude, eager to embrace new challenges and learn in a dynamic business landscape.

Nice to Have
- Previous experience in the iGaming sector is a plus.
- Familiarity with legal systems outside the EU, demonstrating adaptability to diverse regulatory environments.
- Experience working with SaaS or technology-related contracts is considered an advantage.
