Legal Counsel (Employment & Immigration)

About the Position

Genesis is seeking a Legal Counsel (Employment & Immigration) to join our team in Poland. This role is crucial for supporting local operations, helping to build scalable processes, and ensuring compliance and stable growth.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and reviewing employment and B2B contracts in accordance with Polish law.
• Advising on hiring models, contractor collaboration structures, and workforce setup.
• Supporting HR and business teams on daily employment law issues.
• Ensuring compliance with local labor laws while maintaining process efficiency.
• Assisting international employees and contractors with relocation to Poland.
• Managing visa, residence permit, and work permit processes.
• Advising on immigration strategies for scaling international teams.
• Coordinating with external providers and government agencies.
• Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts with vendors, landlords, and service providers.
• Coordinating interactions with notaries, accountants, regulators, and external legal advisors.
• Supporting ongoing operational issues of the Polish legal entity.
• Building and improving internal legal processes and workflows.

Requirements

• 2-4+ years of experience in a law firm or in-house.
• Deep knowledge of Polish labor law, contracts, and immigration law.
• Fluency in Polish and English.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for direction.
• Solution-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to work in a dynamic, changing environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with international teams or foreign specialists.
• Experience with immigration processes in Poland.
• Understanding of B2B contractor collaboration models.
• Experience in an IT company or product company.
