Legal Counsel

About the Position

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our Global Legal Team in Kuala Lumpur. You will focus on corporate legal and commercial law topics, working closely with colleagues in the Global Legal Department.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing, and revising documents in accordance with global corporate standards and applicable laws, including:
  • Non-disclosure and similar confidentiality agreements
  • Release/non-reliance and reliance letters
  • Engagement letters
  • Supplier agreements
• Assisting in general corporate housekeeping matters, such as:
  • Drafting corporate documents (e.g., board resolutions, shareholder resolutions, PoAs)
  • Legal research
  • Capital measures
• Liaising with the Global Legal Team

Requirements

• A degree in law from a recognized university
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in an international law firm or the in-house legal department of an international group of companies
• Strong communication skills and commitment to teamwork
• High analytical capabilities and a good understanding of the business
• Knowledge and experience in MS Office
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; proficiency in Chinese, German, or French is a plus
• Highest professional standards, including confidentiality
