We are seeking a highly qualified Legal Director to lead our legal and compliance department in Lower Austria, ensuring solid corporate governance in a complex multinational matrix structure. Responsibilities
- Strategic Advisory: Advise the management on restructuring and risk issues. Lead the local legal team and ensure compliance with global guidelines.
- Contract & Transaction Management: Be responsible for the global standardization of contracts and the legal management of M&A projects, joint ventures, and due diligence processes.
- Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure compliance with complex requirements in the areas of export control (Dual-Use), data protection (GDPR), and cross-border capital flows.
- Labor Law: Manage management labor law and work confidently with the Austrian works council.
Requirements
- Education: Law degree in the DACH region; the Austrian bar exam is preferred.
- Experience: At least 10 years of professional experience in an international law firm or as a senior in-house counsel in the industry.
- Expertise: Proven success in complex M&A transactions and solid knowledge in export control, GDPR, and Austrian labor law.
- Languages: German at native level (mandatory) and fluent English.
