About the Position

The only thing that can stop us is… Wait, it’s nothing! The number of projects is growing, and with them, our team too. And now we need a Legal Director.
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Legal Director to lead our in-house legal function. This is a senior leadership role within a fast-paced IT environment, requiring both deep legal expertise and the ability to manage and develop a team. You will serve as a trusted advisor to the business, ensuring legal risks are managed across all areas of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all legal matters across corporate, commercial, and IT-specific areas, including contracts, data protection, IP, etc.
- Manage legal matters across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local laws and international regulations.
- Advise on taxation matters in cooperation with the finance department, including cross-border transactions and structuring.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, partnership, vendor, and client contracts.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the legal team; manage task allocation, workload prioritization, and performance within the department.
- Establish and maintain internal legal processes, policies, and compliance frameworks across the company.
- Act as a strategic partner to senior management, providing legal input on business decisions.
Requirements
- 6+ years of legal experience, including at least 3 years in a senior legal role within an IT or technology-driven environment.
- Law degree from an accredited institution; additional qualifications in international or commercial law are an advantage.
- Proven experience working across multiple jurisdictions and handling cross-border legal matters.
- Solid understanding of taxation matters, including corporate tax, VAT, and transfer pricing considerations.
- English proficiency at B2 level or above, must be able to draft and negotiate contracts and communicate with international stakeholders in English.
- Demonstrated experience managing a legal team, including task delegation, performance management, and developing junior lawyers.
- Strong understanding of IT-related legal matters within the IT industry.
- Hands-on experience in the incorporation and registration of international companies across various jurisdictions.
- Experience in M&A transactions, managing legal due diligence processes in the context of corporate transactions.
