Legal Specialist

About the Position

We are seeking a Legal Specialist with at least 2 years of experience in the IT industry to join our Legal Department in a remote full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare agreements and compliance documents both based on templates and from scratch.
• Review clients’ edits to agreements, propose a negotiation strategy, suggest updates, and provide corresponding comments.
• Search for information, study international law acts and standards (e.g. AI, data privacy).
• Analyze third-party license agreements and open-source licenses.
• Manage the formation of compliance processes.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Legal Specialist or related position in the IT industry.
• Higher legal education.
• Upper-intermediate English level (reading, writing, speaking), knowledge of business emailing rules.
• Understanding of software development processes and technologies.
• High level of digital literacy: confident use of Google services and AI tools, information research skills.
• Deep understanding of contract law, IP law principles in international practice (US, EU), and software licensing.
• Contract negotiation experience.
• Autonomy and proactivity, understanding the process-oriented approach.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in a product development company.
• Experience analyzing open-source licenses.

3. Technical interview.
   Interview with members of your future team. Here you will have the opportunity to learn more about the project and its technical details. Within a few days after the interview, we exchange feedback.

4. Offer.
   We announce our offer during the video call. At this stage, you and we can once again discuss all the issues of interest in order to make a balanced decision about cooperation.
