About the Position
We are seeking a Legal Specialist (IT) to join our team in Ukraine, focusing on intellectual property and tech compliance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare agreements and compliance documents both based on templates and from scratch.
- Review clients’ edits to agreements, propose a negotiation strategy, suggest updates, and provide corresponding comments.
- Search for information, study international law acts and standards (e.g. AI, data privacy).
- Analyze third-party license agreements for products and services.
- Provide analysis for open-source licenses.
- Manage the formation of compliance processes.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a Legal Specialist or related position in the IT industry.
- Higher legal education.
- Upper-intermediate English level (reading, writing, speaking), knowledge of business emailing rules.
- Understanding of software development processes and technologies.
- High level of digital literacy: confident use of Google services and AI tools, information research skills.
- Deep understanding of contract law, IP law principles in international practice (US, EU), and software licensing.
- Contract negotiation experience.
- Autonomy and proactivity, understanding the process-oriented approach.
