About the Position
Leiter Rechnungswesen (m/w/d) - Region Wilhelmshaven
We are seeking a Leiter Rechnungswesen with extensive experience in financial management to join our team in Wilhelmshaven, Germany. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a leading industry player boasting a global presence and a robust annual turnover of over 2 billion USD.
Responsibilities
- Fachliche Leitung: You will take operational responsibility for the company's accounting in the Wilhelmshaven region and potentially for subsidiaries, leading a team of 10 employees.
- Prozesssteuerung: Ensure the smooth operation of relevant processes in daily business and guarantee timely completion of financial statements according to US GAAP and HGB.
- Finanzmanagement & Reporting: Manage consolidation, reporting, analysis, forecasts, cash management, and financing.
- Strategische Weiterentwicklung: Actively drive the optimization of existing accounting structures.
- Ansprechpartner: Act as a competent contact for tax advisors, auditors, and banks, and provide advice to specialist departments and subsidiaries on complex financial matters.
- Planung: Prepare strategic analyses, feasibility studies, and annual success planning.
Requirements
- Qualifikation: Successful completion of a business administration degree or a degree in industrial engineering, ideally with a focus on accounting or controlling.
- Fachwissen & EDV: Solid knowledge of accounting standards according to US GAAP and HGB, familiarity with SOX compliance is advantageous. Proficiency in common ERP systems and MS Office applications is essential.
- Führungskompetenz: Proven experience in leading employees and managing a team effectively.
- Persönlichkeit: A committed, consistently reliable, entrepreneurial thinker with a proactive attitude.
- Soft Skills: Confident demeanor, excellent communication and presentation skills, and assertiveness.
- Sprachkenntnisse: Advanced English skills in both written and spoken form are required; French skills are a plus.
