About the Position

Veolia, a European leader in hazardous waste treatment, is seeking a Platform Manager for Basel and Brügg. Oversee logistics, ensure quality, and optimize operations.

Responsibilities

• Leadership of logistics and on-site service staff in Basel and Brügg
• Ensuring smooth logistics for customer waste on the platform (for Basel, Brügg, Emmenbrücke).
• Quality assurance, including the determination of disposal routes for incoming materials and the identification of potential disposal methods for samples.
• Packaging and sorting of mixed deliveries.
• Development and expansion of the Brügg site and business development in the repackaging sector while adhering to Veolia safety standards.
• Planning of available resources considering customer needs.
• Optimization of operational processes in the assigned task area.
• Improvement of processes in collaboration with adjacent interfaces.

Requirements

• Technical basic training with further education in logistics or supply chain management.
• Proven experience in supply chain, contract logistics, or industrial waste management.
• Several years of experience in employee management and process optimization.
• Good knowledge of legal requirements for occupational safety, environmental protection, and the handling of hazardous substances is advantageous.
• Forklift license would be advantageous.
• Comprehensive IT skills; good knowledge of SAP and Excel is advantageous.
• Pragmatic and reliable personality with entrepreneurial thinking and hands-on mentality.
• Very good German and French language skills, English advantageous.
• Willingness to travel to Basel and/or Emmenbrücke at least 2 days per week (main location: Brügg).
