Licensed Pharmacy Technician - Infusion Pharmacy

At the Cowell Family Cancer Center, Infusion Pharmacy Technicians play a vital role in supporting patients receiving specialized oncology treatments. Working closely with pharmacists and the infusion care team at Munson Healthcare, technicians help ensure medications are prepared accurately, safely, and efficiently to support high-quality cancer care.

Responsibilities

• Assisting pharmacists with the preparation of sterile IV medications for infusion therapies
• Maintaining medication and supply inventory
• Supporting medication documentation
• Helping coordinate timely medication delivery for patient treatments

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Current pharmacy technician license in the state of Michigan or eligible for licensure
• Sterile compounding experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Repetitive use of hands and fingers for tasks such as preparing IV admixtures and operating computer systems
• Lifting and carrying items up to 40 pounds, including medication supplies, equipment, and IV solutions
• Bending, stooping, or kneeling to access supplies or storage areas
• Walking or standing for extended periods (typically 4–8 hours)
