About the Position

Join Mazars as a Lohnbuchhalter, handling payroll and salary calculations for clients in Frankfurt am Main or Hamburg.

About the Role

• You will take on a central role in the ongoing payroll processing of our diverse clients.
• You will independently manage the ongoing payroll and salary calculations for a fixed client base (DATEV LODAS / Lohn & Gehalt).
• As the first point of contact for our clients, you will answer payroll tax and social insurance law questions.
• You will create notifications for health insurance companies, social insurance carriers, and authorities, and technically support audits.
• You will handle special topics (e.g., lump-sum payments, company pension plans, parental leave, illness, or resignations) confidently and independently – with the support of the team.
• You will work closely with tax advisors and colleagues, without getting lost in rigid processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage the ongoing payroll and salary calculations for clients.
• Answer payroll tax and social insurance law questions.
• Create notifications for health insurance companies, social insurance carriers, and authorities.
• Handle special topics confidently and independently.
• Work closely with tax advisors and colleagues.

Requirements

• Completed training as a tax assistant or an alternative commercial degree, ideally with further education as a payroll and salary expert.
• Professional experience in payroll and salary accounting, ideally in a firm environment.
• Good language skills in German and English.
• Ideally, initial DATEV user knowledge.
• Enjoyment of service-oriented work in an international environment and a high degree of team and communication skills.
