About the Position
We are seeking a Low-Level Rust Developer to join our team for a Big Data infrastructure project in Israel. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with top-tier tech talent and contribute to next-generation infrastructure for Big Data systems.
Responsibilities
- Accelerating distributed systems like Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Ray
- Building native Rust-based execution engines
- Deep performance tuning (e.g., SIMD, cache locality, zero-copy IO)
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in systems programming
- Expertise in Rust
- Strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and networking fundamentals
- Experience in low-level system architecture
- Experience with multi-threading, memory layout optimization, or custom allocators
- Proven ability to take full ownership of complex challenges from inception to delivery
- Ability to dive into unfamiliar codebases and optimize them quickly
- Comfortable working with minimal abstraction layers in high-performance environments
- Fluent level of spoken English (C1)
