About the Position

Join Ubisoft Paris as a Machine Learning Engineer to innovate in AI-driven game design and development. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team exploring the potential of generative AI in creating dynamic, immersive, and surprising gameplay experiences.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the technical feasibility of AI-based gameplay systems.
• Identify and adapt relevant algorithms (generative, information retrieval, classification) for production use.
• Implement robust and scalable deployment of these algorithms on internal or external clouds, following best practices in development and MLOps.
• Implement techniques from research papers in an innovation/R&D approach.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Machine Learning Engineer and deployment of various Generative AI algorithms.
• Deep knowledge of NLP algorithms (like SentenceBERT, Llama 2, Mistral, or Qwen 3) and the ability to fine-tune them.
• Proficiency in Python and TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience with Docker.
• Passion for video games.
• Excellent listening and comprehension skills to translate client needs into specifications.
• Ability to adapt analyses and communication to reach a broad audience.
• Demonstrates autonomy and curiosity.
• Fluency in English for written and oral exchanges with diverse interlocutors.

Nice to Have

• Proficiency in C++, C#, or Rust.
• Knowledge of using LLMs (from prompt engineering to more complex approaches like Tree of Thoughts).
• Skills in optimizing model size and inference time (e.g., quantization, LoRA).
