About the Position
Machine Learning Manager (Warsaw, Hybrid 2x/week)
Our client is a fast-growing AI startup on a mission to transform the IT industry with cutting-edge artificial intelligence. We’re building from the ground up. Our small, agile team is full of people who ship products that make a real difference.
We’re hiring a foundational Machine Learning Manager to set the ML vision, build the team, and shape the future of our core AI technology.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the company’s Machine Learning vision & strategy, aligning the ML/MLOps roadmap with business objectives.
- Lead the end-to-end ML lifecycle: research, experimentation, model training, evaluation, production deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of Machine Learning Engineers; foster a culture of innovation, code quality, and responsible AI.
- Architect and oversee scalable, production-ready ML systems (CI/CD for ML, model serving, MLOps pipelines) that power our product.
- Partner with founders, Product, and Engineering to iterate quickly and ship value to users.
- Drive R&D in Computer Vision and modern deep-learning methods to keep our product on the cutting edge.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience (Tech Lead / Team Lead / ML Manager / Engineering Manager) delivering ML projects from concept to production.
- Strong, hands-on background in building and deploying machine learning / deep learning models; ability to mentor and upskill the team.
- Deep understanding of the modern ML stack: Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn), TensorFlow/PyTorch, MLOps principles and tooling.
- Expertise with cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) for production-grade architectures.
- Solid experience in Computer Vision.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
- Strategic mindset: translate business needs into a technical roadmap and inspire the team to deliver.
- Proactive, get-it-done attitude; comfortable with the pace and ambiguity of a startup.
- Excellent command of English.
