About the Position
Stratasys is a world leader in 3D printing, leading the global shift to additive manufacturing with innovative 3D printing solutions for industries such as aerospace, automotive, consumer products, and healthcare. We are currently seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician to join our team in Eden Prairie, MN.
Responsibilities
- Lead routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in machinery
- Perform repairs and replace defective parts as needed
- Collaborate with the production team to optimize machine performance
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability
- Participate in equipment upgrades and modifications
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
- Generate reports on machine performance and maintenance activities
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Track outstanding equipment orders and communicate updates to management
- Lead the training of junior maintenance technicians
- Assist engineering with the purchase and installation of new equipment
Requirements
- 1-4 years of related experience
- Proven experience as a Machine Maintenance Technician or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to think critically to solve complex problems
- Experience reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Experience with various hand and power tools to perform the job
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Nice to Have
- Vocational training in machine maintenance or related technical fields
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Forklift experience
