About the Position

Magento Backend/Full-stack Developer

We are looking for a Magento Backend/Full-stack Developer with 3+ years of Magento 2 experience and 4+ years of PHP experience to join our team in a remote or Kharkiv location.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Magento 2 backend systems
• Create custom modules and integrations
• Optimize project architecture and business processes
• Ensure high performance and scalability of applications
• Optimize databases and projects
• Utilize Docker and GIT for version control
• Implement SOAP and REST services
• Work with popular JavaScript frameworks
• Install and configure LAMP and Magento on a Linux server
• Experience with NoSQL databases and queue systems

Requirements

• 3+ years Magento 2 Backend development experience (including custom modules)
• 4+ years of PHP experience, familiar with HTML, JavaScript, MySQL
• Experience in building architecture and excellent understanding of business processes
• Practical experience in development of high loaded projects
• Understanding Magento “under the hood”
• Experience in project optimization, experience with database optimization
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with GIT
• Strong knowledge of OOP
• Confident understanding of SOAP, REST
• Experience with popular JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, Prototype, RequireJS, Knockout.js, React.js)
• Knowledge of Linux (the ability to install LAMP and Magento on a Linux server)
• Experience with NoSQL databases and queue systems (e.g. Elasticsearch, Redis, RabbitMQ, etc.)
• English: Intermediate and higher

Nice to Have

• Ability to debug the code with Xdebug
• Experience with Varnish
• Experience with Solr, ElasticSearch
• Advanced Linux knowledge
• Basic knowledge of CSS
• Magento 2 certification
• Good understanding of the SOLID principles
• Good knowledge of data structures and design patterns
• Experience with AWS stack, including Amazon PHP SDK
• Development and deployment into cloud
