About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Information Systems Specialist to join our team in Ukraine, specializing in telecommunications and computer systems.
Responsibilities
- Deployment, configuration, and maintenance of telecommunication networks and computer systems, VPN tunnels, local servers, monitoring systems, remote access, and cybersecurity (IDS) among others;
- Installation, configuration, and testing of local computing networks;
- Ensuring the physical infrastructure for data transmission: cable crimping and laying, installing outlets, mounting switching equipment, installing and configuring uninterruptible power supply systems; deploying and maintaining active and passive network equipment (switches, routers, hubs, Wi-Fi access points, Wi-Fi bridges, etc.);
- Conducting technical inspections, monitoring, diagnostics, prompt troubleshooting, and restoration of network connections, telecommunication networks, and systems;
- Providing technical support to colleagues (configuring office equipment, installing Windows and office software, consulting on computerization, etc.);
- Participation in the implementation of new network solutions, channel reservation, server installation, network filters, and modernization of existing infrastructure;
- Team collaboration with group masters and ensuring the completion of assigned tasks;
- Maintaining communication with other units and military units within the scope of job responsibilities.
Requirements
- Age between 18 and 45 years;
- Higher or specialized technical education (radio communications, telecommunications, computer science, etc.);
- Ability to work with telecommunication networks and information systems; experience in configuring and operating peripheral (printers, scanners, plotters, etc.), computer (laptops, desktops, monitors, computer accessories, etc.), and telecommunication equipment (WiFi routers, switches, routers, local servers, etc.) is required;
- Experience in setting up and maintaining an office workstation (installing Windows, office software, configuring monitors, peripheral devices, accessories);
- Knowledge of computer network fundamentals (OSI model, TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, NAT, DHCP, DNS, MTA) is a significant advantage;
- Experience with network equipment from Ubiquiti, TP-Link, MikroTik, ZPE, FortiNet, or similar is a plus;
- Skills in using measuring equipment for testing cable lines (twisted pair tester, OTDR) are a plus;
- Ability to quickly deploy and configure modern software products using documentation;
- Programming skills, knowledge of Linux is a significant advantage;
- Experience in repairing, troubleshooting modern telecommunication, peripheral, computer, and radio equipment is a significant advantage;
- Knowledge of information protection and cybersecurity fundamentals;
- Attention to detail, responsibility, perseverance, stress resistance;
- Analytical mindset and ability to use a systematic approach to problem-solving;
- Ability to work effectively under stress and psychological pressure;
- Willingness to perform tasks in the combat zone;
- Ability to learn quickly and a desire for self-development and self-improvement;
- Physical health and fitness sufficient to perform medium-intensity physical work;
- English language proficiency at B1-B2 level is a significant advantage.

At what age can one join the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov"?
You can join the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov" of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov" from the age of 18.
How long is the basic combat training course?
The basic combat training course lasts approximately 6-8 weeks. We pay close attention to the training of personnel, thoroughly training recruits and preparing them to perform combat tasks. For the NGU Brigade "Azov", the professionalism and cohesion of the unit, as well as the value of each individual soldier, have always been a priority.
If I join a unit through a transfer, do I need to complete the basic combat training course?
Servicemen who join our brigade through a transfer must pass the entry control standards. If they fail to meet the standards, they must complete the basic combat training course.
What type of contract and for how long?
Contracts until the demobilization decree. Mobilization until the end of the state of war is also available. If a recruit is transferred from another unit where they have a signed contract, that contract is transferred to the 12th Brigade "Azov" of the NGU.
What documents are required?
- Copy of passport (all pages), if ID card, then the appendix;
- Copy of tax identification number;
- Original conscription/military ticket (must be registered with the military enlistment office);
- Photos 3×4 - 4 pcs., 9×12 - 2 pcs. Photos must be matte, without corners, and in the form of cartoons (you can have them taken at a photo studio);
- Copy of diploma/certificate of education, if available (secondary specialized, higher) + appendix with grades;
- Details of personal account (preferably PrivatBank or Oschadbank), the card must be "For payments";
- Certificate of no criminal record from the Diya (Full).
Is there a contract 18-24 in Azov?
Yes. Contract 18-24 is available for signing in the 12th Brigade "Azov". All payments, benefits, and bonuses provided by the terms of the contract 18-24 apply to young volunteers who wish to sign the contract and begin 365 days of service in a professional unit.
Is there a transfer from the Armed Forces to the National Guard?
Yes. Armed Forces servicemen can transfer to the National Guard online, in the "Army+" application. Transfers are also available to the Azov Brigade. When filling out the transfer application, you need to select the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov" (unit 3057) from the list of units. Before filling out the transfer application, you need to obtain a recommendation letter from our recruiters.
