About the Position
Procure it Right (PIR) is seeking a Management Consultant – Strategic Sourcing to join our team in Stockholm, SE. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, results- and development driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused, dynamic and learning environment. You will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing solutions for client challenges, with a strong focus on cost optimization, cost reduction and high-impact negotiations, including designing and running RFP/RFX processes and strategic sourcing events.
Responsibilities

- Drive cost optimization projects by identifying savings opportunities, developing sourcing strategies, executing initiatives and ensuring value realization
- Understand clients' spend, sourcing needs and procurement challenges across categories to identify opportunities
- Develop category and procurement strategies that increase value for clients
- Translate business needs into sourcing strategies, ensuring strong cross-functional buy-in and driving decision-making
- Design and execute strategic sourcing initiatives and RFP/RFQ events from requirements definition to supplier selection and contracting
- Run high-impact negotiations with suppliers to secure commercial value, quality and risk mitigation
Requirements
- 6–15 years in strategic sourcing and procurement, preferably across multiple categories and industries
- Experience from management consulting is a strong plus, but not mandatory
- Hands-on experience from developing and executing on category & supplier strategies for maximized business value, as well as running end-to-end sourcing events (RFP/RFQ/RFX)
- Strong analytical skills and structured, quantitative problem-solving with a focus on cost optimization
- Academic degree (e.g. in business, engineering, economics or similar)
- Proven track record of delivering cost reduction and procurement performance improvements
- Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills; collaborative and hands-on approach
- Fluency in Swedish and English
We Offer
- To be part of a boutique consultancy with small-firm freedom and big-firm impact. With our flat hierarchical structure, you'll have direct access to senior partners and colleagues, real ownership from day one, and genuine ability to influence how we work with clients.
- To work in an environment where trust is paramount and we don't compete internally. We believe everyone is a valued team member, and our culture that is built on collaboration, learning, and psychological safety, that drives real results through people, not processes.
- To be engaged on some of the most interesting and complex cost optimization and strategic sourcing projects in the Nordics, helping clients identify cost reduction opportunities, run sourcing events and negotiations, and increase the value delivered by procurement.
- Career progression and personal development based on your individual merit and impact, not hierarchy or tenure. Your ambition sets the pace. Work alongside senior experts, shape projects, and grow as a hands-on specialist within strategic sourcing, where you actually influence outcomes.
- PIR offers a competitive compensation model creating great opportunity for successful candidates.
- To be part of an alliance of fourteen companies, that employ 280 consultants giving you the opportunity of being involved in a larger ecosystem of cultures and opportunities. This group is called Newground Alliance.
