Responsibilities
💻 Technical Environment:
You will work in a complex IP network environment, with the following technologies:
- IP Networks: BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN, IPv4/IPv6.
- Network Equipment: Cisco (Nexus, ASR, Catalyst), Juniper, Arista, or equivalents.
- Network Security: Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA), VPN, ACL, segmentation.
- Cloud Networking: AWS (VPC, Direct Connect), Azure (Virtual Network, ExpressRoute), GCP (VPC, Cloud Interconnect).
- Automation: Ansible, Python, Terraform, or equivalent tools.
- Monitoring & Performance: SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, or equivalent tools.
🎯 Main Missions:
1. Managing Network Transition Projects
- Define the migration strategy to new network architectures (e.g., transition to IPv6, data center modernization).
- Plan and coordinate transition activities (stages, resources, timelines).
- Identify risks and propose mitigation plans.
- Ensure communication with stakeholders (business, management, technical teams).
2. Designing and Optimizing Network Infrastructures
- Design network architectures tailored to business needs (high availability, scalability).
- Optimize network performance (latency, throughput, resilience).
- Secure infrastructures (firewalls, VPN, network segmentation).
- Integrate cloud solutions (hybridization, secure connectivity).
3. Managing Migrations and Deployments
- Supervise migrations (e.g., equipment replacement, protocol transition).
- Coordinate testing (configuration validation, functional acceptance).
- Ensure service continuity during transitions (rollback plans, backups).
- Document new architectures and associated procedures.
4. Automation and Continuous Improvement
- Automate network tasks (configuration, deployment) with Ansible, Python, or Terraform.
- Optimize change management processes (e.g., integration with ITSM).
- Propose improvements to reduce costs and enhance performance.
- Ensure best practices (ISO standards, vendor recommendations).
5. Collaboration and Training
- Work with technical teams (networks, security, cloud) to align projects.
- Train teams on new architectures and tools.
- Lead workshops to raise awareness of network issues (e.g., security, performance).
- Participate in technical reviews to validate architectural choices.
6. Technological Vigilance and Innovation
- Monitor technological developments (e.g., SD-WAN, SASE, 5G).
- Evaluate new solutions to modernize infrastructures.
- Participate in training to maintain a high level of expertise.
Requirements
🔍 Profile Sought:
- Engineering degree or Master's 2 in networks, telecommunications, or computer science.
- Minimum of 9 years of experience in network project management or IP infrastructure administration.
- Expertise in network protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN).
- Proficiency with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent equipment.
- Experience in network migration (e.g., transition to IPv6, data center modernization).
- Knowledge in automation (Ansible, Python, Terraform).
- Professional English for working in an international environment.
- Ability to manage complex projects and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
