Manager - Finance - Container Freight Station - Vallur

DP World is seeking a dedicated Finance Manager for our Container Freight Station in Vallur, Chennai, India. This role involves overseeing financial processes, ensuring compliance, and managing budgets.

Responsibilities

• Creating, Implementing, and Monitoring Processes: Develop and oversee processes for monthly forecasts.
• Financial Statements: Prepare and review periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries.
• Accounting Practices: Maintain finance and accounting practices in accordance with group policies, regional policies, SOPs, and regulatory and generally accepted accounting principles.
• Supplier Payments: Ensure timely accounting and payments to suppliers.
• Reconciliation: Reconcile bank and ledger accounts, inventory, and establish effective control over customer collections.
• Audit Compliance: Ensure internal and external audit requirements are met and validate accounts. Prepare monthly variance reports.
• Corporate Consolidation: Comply with head office requirements for corporate consolidation of budgets and accounts.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor funding levels and prepare cash flow projections, especially for project financing.
• Budget Preparation: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and cash flow forecasts.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure all tax compliances and timely filing of quarterly/annual statutory tax returns. Attend to tax assessments and statutory authorities as required.
• Internal Controls: Review the work of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll to ensure proper internal controls.
• Stakeholder Interaction: Interact with customers and vendors as required. Liaise with Operations, Maintenance, Stores, IT, and Human Resources to exercise effective accounting, financial, and budgetary controls.
• MIS Reports: Ensure all MIS reports are submitted accurately and on time.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct new customer contract financial analysis, various financial modeling, NPV, and IRR analysis.
