About the Position

Manager Financial Services – Retail Banking

Wavestone is seeking a Manager in Financial Services – Retail Banking to lead complex transformation projects for retail banks. In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding banks through their most critical transformations, addressing challenges such as digital acceleration, increased competition, and climate urgency.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the successful delivery of transformation projects, ensuring Wavestone's quality standards are met.
• Organize and lead the work of one or more teams on assigned missions.
• Actively participate in the commercial dynamics of the practice by identifying new business opportunities, designing and conducting commercial proposals, and participating in client presentations.
• Engage in people development by mentoring consultants and facilitating their skill enhancement within the firm.
• Contribute to the practice's development actions (Career Development Manager, practice performance management, recruitment) and enhance the firm's reputation (publications, development of convictions and expertise on our offerings).

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in complex transformation projects, ideally in consulting.
• In-depth knowledge of retail banking client experience, banking distribution models, Bank As A Platform, and Open Banking.
• Experience in managing large teams and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
• Fluent in English.
• Bachelor's degree or higher.

• Experience in business development activities such as opportunity detection, proposal design and execution, client presentations, and staffing identification.
