Responsibilities

As a Manager for Material Management, you will be responsible for:

• Communicating regularly with central counterparts and plants (customer account management)
• Leading and developing a team of supply chain professionals, especially material and order managers, to ensure the successful planning and execution of daily operations
• Ensuring the daily availability of material for production and finished goods
• Guaranteeing exception management, e.g., in case of material shortages or supply chain disruptions, to the satisfaction of our customers
• Driving innovations to our customers
• Monitoring logistics performance and cost reduction opportunities
• Analyzing network metrics to determine and drive continuous improvement measures
• Establishing technological advancements in logistics operations to drive efficiency

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in material planning and order management
• At least 2 years of experience in supervising and developing a team
• Understanding of MRP processes, demand planning, and call-off logic
• Experience in handling supply shortages, delays, and escalations in a structured way
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple operational topics in parallel
• Strong conceptual thinking and self-starter attitude
• Very good communication skills in English
• Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP MM / PP) in operational planning environments
• Strong interest in supply chain topics and motivation to work with international teams in an exciting environment
