Okta is seeking a Manager, Global Partner Sales Desk to support the transactional sales cycle and manage critical deal flow operations. This role ensures a seamless and efficient sales process by executing deal registration validation, maintaining CRM data quality, and handling quoting and purchase order (PO) processes.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while supporting both partners and internal teams.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Global Partner Sales Desk Specialists and Cloud Desk Specialists, including performance management, coaching, and career development.
- Define team priorities, allocate resources effectively, and establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational excellence and team efficiency.
- Manage global team capacity and coverage to ensure all transactional service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met.
- Recruit, onboard, and train new team members as the organization scales.
Program Operational Strategy & Optimization
- Define and optimize the end-to-end operational processes for the Global Partner Sales Desk, focusing on scalability, compliance, and efficiency and leverage AI wherever possible.
- Oversee the seamless execution of high-volume, day-to-day partner sales desk operations, including Deal Registration and validation, CRM hygiene, Quoting and PO issuance and troubleshooting issues.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive, up-to-date documentation and training materials for all Partner Sales Desk processes for the internal team and key cross-functional stakeholders.
- Work with Global Partner Program Operations team to establish best practices for managing inbound support queues and ensure high-quality, timely resolution of complex partner and internal inquiries related to Deal Registration process.
- Drive continuous process improvements for critical functions to support Partner Sales and ensure timely.
- Collaborate with IT teams to define and prioritize system enhancements in core platforms (e.g., Salesforce, PRM) to improve partner sales desk efficiency, scalability, and the overall partner experience.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on operational metrics to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for cost reduction or efficiency gains.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive experience in partner sales operations or channel sales operations preferably within SaaS or technology.
- 2+ years of direct experience managing and mentoring a team or leading complex cross-functional projects.
- Demonstrated ability to define, implement, and scale complex operational processes across global teams.
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience with core partner systems (e.g., Salesforce and a PRM platform like Impartner).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional executive stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Finance, Legal) and external partners.
- Advanced analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to translate operational metrics into actionable business strategies.
- Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced experience using and administering Salesforce (SFDC) and Partner Relationship Management platforms (e.g., Impartner)
- Expertise in data analysis and reporting using tools like Tableau or similar reporting tools
- Familiarity with agreement and data management tools such as Conga/Apptus and DocuSign
- Experience with Google Workspace
