About the Advanced UX Team
We are the Advanced UX Team at Woven by Toyota. We are a cross-functional, multi-cultural team of talented designers and researchers dedicated to crafting intuitive, innovative, and visually compelling user experiences that define the future of automotive interfaces. Our focus is on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving, leveraging thoughtful, data-validated designs to bring the next generation of driving experiences to life.
Responsibilities
- Establish a clear multi-year UX vision for AD/ADAS products
- Translate that vision into phased feature priorities and release timelines
- Craft concise presentations, demos, and messages that align leaders, engineers, UX experts, and customers
- Grow and guide a small, cross-functional group of UX Strategists
- Champion UX output and products across the company and with key stakeholders
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in UX Strategy / Product Design, including 4+ years leading automotive or mobility HMI design programs
- Native level of Fluent to near-native level Japanese and Business level of English proficiency
- Experience working in the automotive industry OEM
- Familiarity with Design Tools (Figma, Unity, etc.)
- Bachelor’s in HCI, Industrial Design, Cognitive Science, or related field
- Driver's license
Nice to Have
- Expert knowledge of multi-modal HMI in the automotive industry
- Track record of presenting to and building alignment with C-Level and external OEM partners
- Full knowledge of automobile relevant laws and regulations, high-level product realization requirements
- Demonstrated contribution to mass-production vehicle HMI or mobility platforms
