Managing Director - Hungary

To spearhead their strategic expansion into Hungary, we are seeking a highly skilled Managing Director. This crucial role involves establishing the company's national operations, building the local team, and forging successful partnerships with both new and existing clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for translating the pioneering consulting philosophies into tangible, world-class manufacturing results. This position requires a leader who is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on operator.

Responsibilities

  • Assume full P&L responsibility for Hungarian operations, including strategic planning, budgeting, and financial oversight
  • Ensuring that all operations meet the highest standards of excellence
  • Implement best-in-class processes
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational efficiency
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the local team to foster a culture of high performance and accountability
  • Guarantee compliance with all automotive industry standards and regulations
  • Serve as the primary liaison with key customers, representing the technical and operational excellence of the company

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience within the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Proven success in a senior leadership role, ideally within a Tier 1 supplier that is recognized for its technical excellence.
  • A university degree in a technical field (Engineering) or Business Administration.
  • Fluency in English and Hungarian is required.
  • Proficiency in German is a significant advantage due to the company's heritage and client base.
  • Deep understanding of the synthesis between high-level engineering theory and practical shop-floor application.
  • Strong strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach.
  • Exceptional financial acumen and experience with full P&L management.
  • Expert knowledge of modern production systems, quality management, and lean principles.
  • High degree of flexibility and willingness to travel for business.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, results-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of representing a premium brand.
