About the Position

Kyivstar, a leading company in the telecommunications industry, is expanding its Business Development Office team and is seeking a M&A Manager for Value Preservation. This role is based in Kyiv, Ukraine, and offers a hybrid work arrangement combining both on-site and remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct continuous market-based research, track valuation trends, and fundamentals in the interested sectors.
  • Proactively scout M&A opportunities to enhance the company's competitive position and support non-organic growth.
  • Establish and cultivate relevant networking.
  • Engage potential targets in M&A deals or strategic partnerships.
  • Build business cases, research potential synergies, and perform company valuations to support transactions.
  • Analyze transaction risks for potential transactions and develop mitigation measures.
  • Lead project management of the M&A process in all stages, including target sourcing, negotiation, due diligence, transaction closing, and post-merger integration.
  • Advise management in reflecting findings in business cases and due diligence.
  • Prepare management presentations, memos, teasers, and actively assist in preparing transaction documents such as Term Sheets/SPA.
  • Participate in the initial planning of post-merger integration.
  • Manage internal and external consultants’ teams involved in transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with all project processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in energy projects, investment banking, private equity, M&A transaction consulting, or venture capital funds for at least 3 years.
  • Strong quantitative skills, cash flow modeling, and valuation skills, with accounting knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate ideas.
  • Solid project management experience with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage numerous projects with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong personal integrity - high ethical standards and judgment.
  • Fluent in English.
