Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

We are seeking a Manual QA Engineer with 4+ years of experience in manual testing of software and networking hardware to join our leading computer hardware company in Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Perform software and hardware testing of network storage devices.
  • Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications (iOS, Android).
  • Develop and execute manual tests for software and hardware components.
  • Analyze and report bugs, communicating clearly with stakeholders.
  • Design, maintain, and execute test cases, checklists, and test scenarios (functional, regression, smoke, exploratory).
  • Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Prepare and deliver regular testing status reports.
  • Participate in client and team meetings to align on requirements and updates.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in manual testing of software and networking hardware.
  • Proficiency with major operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux, Unix).
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and defect lifecycle.
  • Experience testing REST APIs using Postman and/or Swagger.
  • Knowledge of HTTP methods and status codes.
  • Understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, DNS) and configurations.
  • Knowledge of storage systems (NAS, DAS, Thunderbolt, RAID, S3) and file systems.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining test documentation (test plans, test cases, checklists, bug reports).
  • Practical experience testing web applications and mobile applications.
  • At least Intermediate English Level (both written and spoken).

Nice to Have

  • Experience in performance and load testing.
  • Desktop application testing experience.
