Job description
About the Position
We are looking for a part-time Manual QA Engineer to test our company's projects on an on-demand basis. You will join whenever a project needs testing support, working flexibly across different initiatives.
Most of our work is web and mobile products for clients in the EU and North America, so the type of testing changes from project to project.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute test cases: functional, regression, and exploratory testing
- Identify, document, and track bugs in Jira or a similar tracker
- Run smoke and regression testing before releases
- Review requirements and user stories, and flag inconsistencies early
- Do basic API testing with Postman when a project needs it
- Communicate found issues clearly to developers and project managers
Requirements
- Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies
- Experience writing clear test cases and bug reports
- Attention to detail and the ability to work without close supervision
- Part-time, on-demand availability, flexible to jump in per project needs
- English at B1 or higher, enough to read documentation and write bug reports
Nice to Have
- Mobile testing on real Android and iOS devices
- Chrome DevTools, Charles Proxy, or Fiddler
- Test management tools such as Zephyr or TestRail
- Reading API contracts in Swagger
We Offer
- Hourly pay, invoiced monthly
- 10-30 hours per week to start, with the option to move to full-time if the collaboration works out
- Fully remote, with an overlap with Ukrainian working hours
- A rotation of real client projects rather than one long backlog
