About the Position

Manual QA Engineer (Lviv)

Join the QA Department – QA Apps Team at Ajax Systems, a leading European manufacturer of security systems. We are seeking a Manual QA Engineer (mobile) to ensure the quality and stability of our mobile and desktop applications across all stages, from development to mass production.

Responsibilities

• Test new and existing functionality of mobile and desktop applications
• Work with application logs
• Perform regression testing
• Develop and maintain test documentation: test cases, traceability matrix, test plans
• Analyze business requirements in specifications and design
• Work with custom QA tools (Mock server, emulators)
• Analyze results of automated tests
• Participate in planning processes and task estimation
• Collaborate with developers, automation engineers, PMs, business analysts, designers, and QA from related platforms

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in manual testing of mobile applications
• Excellent knowledge of testing theory
• Ability to apply test design techniques
• Knowledge of SDLC
• Experience with business requirements and specifications
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Testrail (or alternative)
• Experience with application logs
• Experience with Xcode, Android Studio, PyCharm
• Basic understanding of client-server architecture
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to not only find defects but also understand the cause-and-effect relationship
• High level of self-organization

Nice to Have

• Experience with REST API or gRPC
• Experience with mock servers
• Experience with automated testing
