Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

We are looking for a Manual Test Engineer to join our team in Bucharest, Romania. You will be responsible for validating software for high-performance infotainment systems in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform software validation for one or more projects on new Telematics Control Unit.
  • Apply specifications, user guides, use cases, comparable products, and previous known bugs to create and maintain test plans, test designs, and test cases.
  • Perform session-based exploratory testing.
  • Use professional hardware interfaces and measurement tools.
  • Identify software issues and transfer problem issues into the issue tracking system with supporting log files and data.
  • Record, process, and analyze data with PC-based tools and test instrumentation.
  • Document testing and create test reports following CMMI guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, etc.
  • Basic networking knowledge
  • Basic electronics knowledge
  • Basic automotive knowledge
  • Testing experience on physical embedded systems covering: Flashing, CAN, Networking domain, Diagnosis, and Coding.
  • Knowledge of functional and non-functional software testing, the software test life cycle, various test design methodologies (function, performance, stress, load, risk-based, scenario, etc.).
  • Office productivity software
  • Working knowledge of computer hardware and networking
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Very good English skills
  • Driving license

  • Linux/Android knowledge
  • Bug tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, etc.)
  • Test management tools
  • Software Diagnosis and flashing experience
  • 2-4 years experience in creating and executing test cases
  • Test Drive experience
  • Electronic test bench maintenance
  • Preferably Vehicle networking experience (CAN, LIN, MOST, ETHERNET)
  • Software testing training (ISTQB, etc.) preferred
