About the Position
Generative Bionics is a deep-tech company building humanoid robot platforms to deploy human-centered Physical AI. We design intelligent, capable machines that work alongside people in real-world environments - developed in Genova, Italy.
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to improve and sustain the operational performance of our manufacturing processes and production systems.
Working across Production, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize manufacturing performance, and support production teams in achieving quality, productivity, and capacity targets.
You will play a key role in ensuring stable, efficient, and scalable manufacturing operations throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Monitor production performance through manufacturing KPIs, identifying improvement opportunities and operational bottlenecks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodologies and best practices.
- Improve productivity, process efficiency, quality performance, and resource utilization.
- Support Production teams in day-to-day technical problem solving and root cause investigations.
- Analyze process deviations, equipment performance, and manufacturing losses, defining corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Industrial Engineering and Maintenance teams to optimize production processes and equipment reliability.
- Support production ramp-up activities and validate manufacturing performance targets.
- Promote standardization, process stability, and operational excellence across manufacturing operations.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or equivalent technical background.
- 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or similar roles.
- Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI), production ramp-up, and manufacturing performance optimization.
- Experience in automotive, robotics, aerospace, or other advanced manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with OEE, throughput analysis, capacity management, root cause analysis, process validation, and industrial KPI management.
- Familiarity with SPC, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, SMED, 5S, and Standard Work practices.
- Experience with ERP, MES, Excel, Power BI, or similar manufacturing systems and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to operate effectively in a production environment.
- Availability to travel nationally and internationally is expected.
