Manufacturing Engineer

About the Position

Ajax Systems, a leading European manufacturer of security systems, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Video Devices team in the Product Industrialization Team.

The Video Devices division implements the full cycle of creating video products from concept to mass production. We combine expertise in mechanics, hardware, image quality, optics, embedded systems, and networking. Our goal is to create technologically complex and competitive devices that combine communication stability, high image quality, and scalable production.

Responsibilities

• Conducting DFM/DFA reviews of new products with a focus on manufacturing and assembly;
• Assessing designs in terms of manufacturing risks, testability, and stability of mass production;
• Identifying potential manufacturing risks before transferring the product to NPI;
• Formulating recommendations for design improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency;
• Developing, implementing, and optimizing device assembly processes;
• Participating in EVT / DVT / PVT cycles and engineering validation of prototypes;
• Supporting prototypes, EVT assemblies, and pilot productions;
• Participating in the launch of initial series at the factory and resolving production issues promptly;
• Collaborating with contract manufacturers in China and Vietnam;
• Interacting with development teams, designers, and NPI specialists;
• Preparing production documentation (SOP, Assembly Instructions);
• Implementing new manufacturing technologies and improving existing processes at factories and production lines.

Requirements

• Experience of at least 3 years in Manufacturing Engineering, NPI, Production Engineering, or related technological roles;
• Commercial experience in launching and supporting mass production of electronic devices;
• Excellent understanding of electronics and mechanical components assembly processes;
• Deep understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles;
• Practical experience with products that include PCB, mechanical and plastic components, electronics, and cable assemblies;
• Experience participating in EVT / DVT / PVT or similar product preparation cycles for production;
• Experience interacting with contract manufacturers;
• Skills in developing and optimizing manufacturing processes;
• Experience in preparing production documentation (SOP, Assembly Instructions);
• English proficiency at the B2 level.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cameras, CCTV solutions, video devices, or IoT products;
• Experience launching production in China or Southeast Asian countries;
• Experience working directly on production sites during ramp-up and series launch;
• Knowledge of SMT production processes and electronics testing;
• Experience collaborating with QA, Supplier Quality, or participating in production audits;
• Practical experience in creating manufacturing instructions and SOPs;
• Successful track record of transitioning products from prototype to mass production.
