For our office in Capelle aan den IJssel, we are immediately looking for a Marine Consultant.

Responsibilities

In this challenging role, you will be the first point of contact for both shipowners and seafarers. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for the optimal execution of international placements on board the vessels of our clients.

Job Description

The focus of a Marine Consultant is on recruiting and placing professionals. This involves:

• Maintaining intensive contact with both shipowners and professionals in the offshore, dredging, towing, or merchant shipping sectors
• Mapping job vacancies and client wishes on one side and the availability and wishes of professionals on the other
• Establishing links between available candidates and job openings
• Recruiting (inter)national professionals through various channels
• Ensuring a correct process around placements
• Preparing for the embarkation and disembarkation of professionals
• Working closely with colleagues in the office and from other divisions, both domestically and internationally
• Regularly visiting clients, ships, and trade shows

Requirements

Do you recognize yourself in the following?

• MBO/HBO work and thinking level
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English languages in speech and writing
• Good knowledge of the MS Office suite
• Driven personality, persistent
• Good communication and social skills
• Preferably 1-3 years of experience in the maritime sector or staffing industry
