Responsibilities

  • Drive business development activities and sales growth within the Oil & Gas, LNG, CCS, hydrogen, and e-fuels sectors.
  • Manage and develop relationships with strategic customers including operators, EPC contractors, technology providers, investors, and governmental institutions.
  • Support the sales pipeline from lead generation to contract award and project execution.
  • Influence project pricing strategies, bid quality, and resource allocation across business areas.
  • Monitor and improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Identify new business opportunities arising from energy transition initiatives, decarbonization programs, and emerging fuel markets.
  • Gather deep customer and market insights, including competitor intelligence, regulatory developments, and investment trends.
  • Develop and execute market strategies focused on:
    • Oil & Gas asset lifecycle services
    • LNG infrastructure
    • Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS)
    • Hydrogen and ammonia value chains
    • Maritime and industrial decarbonization
    • E-fuels and low-carbon fuels
    • Offshore energy developments
  • Foster collaboration across Business Areas and Regions to maximize cross-selling and integrated service offerings.
  • Act as project sponsor for strategic projects and key customers.
  • Support the Market Area Manager in strategy development, business planning, and decision-making.
  • Represent DNV in industry associations, conferences, and customer forums related to Oil & Gas, energy transition, and sustainable fuels.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Energy & Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Several years of experience in the Oil & Gas, LNG, offshore energy, or energy transition sectors.
  • Demonstrated commercial and customer-facing experience at a senior level.
  • Strong knowledge of the Italian and East Mediterranean energy markets.
  • Established relationships with key industry stakeholders, including operators, EPC contractors, technology providers, and governmental institutions.
  • Experience in business development and management of complex technical consulting and assurance services.
  • Solid understanding of energy transition drivers and decarbonization pathways, including:
    • Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS)
    • Hydrogen and ammonia
    • E-fuels and synthetic fuels
    • Methane emissions management
    • LNG and gas infrastructure
    • Low-carbon fuel regulations and certification schemes
  • Familiarity with the Italian and European regulatory framework supporting energy transition initiatives.
  • Understanding of major Oil and Gas industry players, and other international energy companies.
  • Fluent in English and Italian; Greek or Turkish languages are considered an advantage.
