About the Position
Masterarbeit Vision-Centric 4D Occupancy World Model (all genders)
Join XITASO GmbH for a Masterarbeit on developing a vision-centric 4D Occupancy World Model using advanced computer vision and deep learning techniques.
Responsibilities
- Development of a vision-centric Occupancy World Model based on Transformer architectures to predict future semantic 4D-Occupancy from sequential multi-view camera inputs.
- Building and training pipelines with PyTorch, developing alignment mechanisms to distill semantic features from 2D foundation models into your 4D spatio-temporal world representation.
- Conducting benchmarks using fully supervised baseline models on large-scale datasets (e.g., nuScenes), focusing on prediction accuracy (IoU), semantic precision, and label efficiency.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a Master's program in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics or a comparable field.
- Excellent programming skills in Python and solid experience with deep learning frameworks (especially PyTorch).
- Strong background knowledge in 3D Computer Vision. Practical experience with semantic segmentation, occupancy networks, or 3D Gaussian splatting is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of Vision Transformers (ViT), Foundation Models (DINO, CLIP) and paradigms of self-/weakly-supervised learning.
- Independent and solution-oriented work approach, high motivation, and excellent English and German skills (C1 level) for clear communication within the team and with partners.
