Master's University Grad Data Scientist (USA)

We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our team at Pinterest. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about data and eager to contribute to the evolution of our product. By applying to this role, you will be considered for multiple roles open across our various data science teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Product Roadmap: Use data and exploratory analysis to understand user behavior and trends, and identify opportunities for product innovation.
• Design and Implement Metrics: Create core metrics that guide team efforts and help design and evaluate A/B experiments.
• Explore Experimentation Techniques: Investigate alternative experimentation techniques to help internal teams evaluate their ideas faster.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and researchers to build and communicate key insights.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, applied sciences, computer science, or related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Fluency in SQL and a scripting language (Python or R).
  • Experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches including Machine Learning, Statistical Modeling, Forecasting, Econometrics, or related fields.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking when working with AI-generated suggestions.
  • Ability to connect data analysis to real business problems.

• Competitive Salary: $124,950-$168,000 USD.
• Equity: The position is also eligible for equity.
