About the Position
At TMC, we are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Ghent, Belgium. In this role, you will develop initial concept designs and lead the technical development of complex solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop initial concept designs in alignment with client needs.
- Translate concepts into clear drawings and create detailed production and assembly plans.
- Ensure all technical drawings are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate drawings with clients and suppliers to establish clear agreements.
- Regularly consult with the project team to align progress and technical details.
Requirements
- Master's degree in engineering and initial work experience with 3D drawing using parametric drawing packages such as Inventor.
- Hands-on mentality with the ability to balance smooth project execution with well-considered choices.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in addressing and discussing matters.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
- Quick response to customer expectations and ability to translate their needs into technical solutions.
- Fluency in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French and/or German is a plus.
