About the Position
Mechanical Engineer - Siemens NX
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will join our engineering team in Oxford to support our activities within the aerospace and advanced manufacturing sector.
You will support the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality design solutions. This role is ideal for an engineer with at least one year of CAD design experience with Siemens NX who is looking to further develop their skills within a collaborative and innovative environment.

- Experience Level: Junior to Mid-level (1-3 years of experience)
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain 3D models and engineering drawings for mechanical components and assemblies
- Support product design and development activities from concept through to manufacture
- Update and modify existing designs in response to project requirements and engineering changes
- Collaborate with manufacturing, systems, and project engineering teams to ensure design suitability
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical problem-solving activities
- Ensure all design documentation is maintained in accordance with company standards
Requirements
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a mechanical CAD design role
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering and design principles
- Experience creating 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications and technical documentation
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience
- Experience using CAD software within an engineering environment
- Understanding of engineering drawing standards and manufacturing processes
Desirable Skills
- Experience using Siemens NX
- Exposure to aerospace, automotive, or advanced manufacturing industries
- Knowledge of GD&T and Design for Manufacture (DfM)
- Experience working within a PLM-managed environment
- Familiarity with product lifecycle and change management processes
