Media designer for image and sound

About the Position

At the Film Service Point of the University of Münster, you will be responsible for the conception, planning, and realization of filming processes and cinematic communication needs in contact with various faculties and institutes of the University of Münster. In addition to scientific editorial films or research documentaries, this also includes PR and image films or multi-camera live productions.

Responsibilities

• Design, filming, editing, and production of moving image content
• Experiment with conceptual and visual design
• Co-create process-oriented shooting schedules
• Maintain, set up, test, and operate image and sound recording equipment
• Familiarize with the production of image and sound recordings
• Apply various lighting techniques
• Gain extensive specialist knowledge of cutting and post-production techniques

Requirements

• Vocational or university entrance qualification
• Good performance in German, English, and Mathematics
• Independent and conscientious work
• High level of technical understanding
• Well-developed communicative competencies
• Analytical thinking and customer orientation
• Willingness to familiarize yourself with new and complex areas

Training Institution & Theoretical Training

• Practical training is completed at the Film Service Point of the Center for Information Technology (CIT).
• Theoretical training takes place in multi-week blocks per year at the Robert-Bosch-Berufskolleg in Dortmund.

Duration of Training

The training lasts three years.
