This position will be responsible for promoting and protecting the health and well-being of our associates in the workplace. It will provide comprehensive occupational health services, perform medical evaluations, and develop strategies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Your analytical approach and professional experience will be fundamental to identifying health risks in the workplace and implementing preventive measures that comply with Mexican occupational health regulations and international best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive occupational health evaluations and medical examinations for personnel, including pre-employment, periodic, and other medical examinations.
• Develop and implement workplace health promotion programs and occupational health policies that comply with Mexican labor legislation and regulations.
• Analyze workplace health data and trends to identify potential occupational hazards and recommend corrective measures.
• Provide medical consultations to staff regarding work-related health issues and occupational diseases.
• Maintain accurate and organized medical records and documentation, in accordance with confidentiality and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with management and safety teams to assess workplace conditions and develop risk mitigation strategies.
• Conduct workplace inspections and ergonomic assessments to identify improvements in health and safety.
• Prepare detailed occupational health reports and recommendations for the organization's management.
• Stay updated on occupational health regulations, standards, and best practices in Mexico and internationally.
• Provide emergency medical assistance and first aid when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with employees at all levels regarding health initiatives and wellness programs.

Requirements

• Valid medical license to practice in Mexico, with specialization or certification in occupational medicine or occupational health.
• A minimum of three years of professional experience in occupational health, occupational medicine, or a related healthcare field.
• Thorough knowledge of Mexican occupational health regulations, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
• Solid knowledge of workplace risk assessment and prevention of occupational diseases.
• Proficiency in conducting medical examinations, medical evaluations, and occupational health assessments.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills, with the ability to maintain detailed medical records.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret health data and identify workplace trends.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Proficiency in medical documentation systems and electronic medical records (EMR).
• Knowledge of ergonomics and workplace safety standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including safety, human resources, and management.
• Professional attitude with a strong commitment to employee confidentiality and ethical medical practice.

Nice to Have

• Experience in developing and implementing occupational health programs.
• Knowledge of international occupational health standards and best practices.
