Medior Java Developer

Qualysoft, a manufacturer-independent IT consulting and services company founded in 1999, is looking for a Medior Java Developer to join our team in Budapest. We provide innovative IT solutions to financial services providers, telecommunications companies, the automotive industry, and energy service providers. With over 400 employees in 6 subsidiaries, we ensure state-of-the-art solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and development of systems with a significant presence in both the Hungarian and international markets.
• Enhance existing applications and develop and test new functionalities.
• Contribute to IT projects throughout the entire lifecycle, from planning to implementation.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and fix software defects.
• Participate in database design and development.
• Collaborate closely with team members in an agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

• University degree in Information Technology or a related field is required.
• At least 2–3 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with the following technologies:
  • Java 21+
  • Spring Boot
  • SQL
  • Maven
  • REST APIs and JSON
  • Git
  • Docker and/or Podman
• Strong analytical and structured thinking skills.
• Ability to solve problems independently.
• Attention to detail and a precise approach to work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of English.

Advantages

• Experience in application design and development within a large enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Experience developing high-load, high-performance systems.
• Familiarity with Oracle databases.
• Experience with SonarQube.
• Experience with Redis and Kubernetes.
